EDITED REVIEW after receiving replacement. Packaging arrived NEW as should be expected. Easy set up, quick charge and pleasantly relieved that it worked upon startup. I proceeded to spray dry blacktop so I could see the results of the spray using clear water. The coverage was great in either mode. What impressed me was the motor turns off when the wand handle is released. But responds immediately upon squeezing again. I will just have to remember to turn switch off when I'm finished because there will be no motor sound to remind me. But to that end, it will be refreshing to not have the constant noise and drain on battery as I'm in-between sprays. I'm actually looking forward to attacking those pesky weeds! I hope I get many years of use out of this.First one SHIPPED USED: Clearly this product was sent used. Moisture still resided in tank and chemical could be smelled. Battery completely charged, but upon turning it on, it only ran for a couple seconds in either mode. Bottom scuffed and the tank and back pad were very dirty. This never should have left the warehouse!!!! Shameful representation.I have been using my KIMO model 9318 3 Gallon Garden Sprayer w/ 2.0Ah Battery for over a month. I find it easy to fill and use. It has adequate power to spray 12+ feet from the nozzle end vertically at the 40psi pressure setting – the lower one. The nozzle adjusts from a fine mist to almost a stream. There are two heads for the sprayer. I have only used the brass one. The plastic head is for fine mist and I do not have cause to use it. The wand extends to almost double its length from about 2’ to 4’ to reach more distant targets. I have used the battery for 6 tank fulls of herbicide without recharging, but have not had cause to fully deplete the battery to see how long it may last. Setup was straight forward; the instruction manual was clear and complete. The fill cap is large with an easy to grip handle on top to help with lifting and closing tightly. The tank comes with a debris screen to avoid getting particulate in the tank that would clog or jam the pump/valve/nozzle. The pump is fairly quiet. The battery is housed internal to the sprayer through an access door that helps protect it from spray/weather. In general, I am happy with my purchase.I have been using it to spray herbicide on various invasive plants on steep slopes along pasture boundaries and in the pastures. I chose the 3-gallon capacity because I felt it would be manageable on the slopes – it is for me. I can usually do about 100’ of pasture border between refills of the tank. The tank has a flat bottom surface that allows it to sit steady on a surface when being refilled. Lifting and getting the backpack on is manageable (I am 6’ and 180 lbs). There is a keeper on the sprayer so the wand can be attached to the backpack for hands free transport when walking. There are two power settings via a switch for more pressure (70 psi) / faster battery consumption. I am satisfied with the lower pressure setting for what I am doing with the sprayer. As with anything I see room for improvements. It is a light duty sprayer. The shoulder straps are thin and relatively narrow. There is minimal padding between your back and the sprayer. There is no hip belt or accessory you can purchase to better distribute the weight and avoid shifting on your back as you move around on slopes. I jury rigged something that addresses this problem for me.The pickup for the pump starts sucking air when there is still 1 qt of fluid in the tank. By tilting the tank it will get enough fluid to stop running the pump, but a tank with a obvious low point for the pump pick up would work better – some way to keep the tank level when refilling would need made to the tank mold to accommodate this. The on off switch is a bit high on the tank to reach easily. I can do it, but it is hard to find. More tactile queues to its location when the tank is on your back would help along with it being lower in the pump housing portion of the backpack.I had the wand start leaking badly in the middle of spraying. Turns out the wand pulled out past the o-ring on the compression fitting on the handle. Easily fixed once I took things apart, but a simple flare on the handle end of the wand would prevent that from happening. The trigger mechanism/handle is plastic as are most of them these days. I fear it will break easily if I fall on it while working on a slope. To put the sprayer wand on the keeper on the backpack, the backpack can not be on your back.It is not obvious from the instruction manual if replacement parts are available or not.11 month update. Still going strong!late fall I gave it a goocl cleaning and tried to get all the liquid out of it for winter storage in the unheated barn. Fired it up this spring and have had no issues so far. I have probably run 100 tanks worth of herbicide through it without issue in the last 11 months. I am still satisified with my purchase.First, I need to say my intention was to use this a bit differently than described. I'm old and I'm not going to strap this thing with 3 gallons of liquid to my back. I hoped to put this on a roller cart to water plants all over my house. Mounting it to a cart was easy enough. The hose was too short with proprietary connections so I wrote the mfg about it and never received any form of reply. I came up with some method to insert more hose between the connections. The wand tends to not shut off entirely, dribbles a lot so some lube and sealant there helped. The fact that all these power tool manufacturers have proprietary batteries is a sore topic for me. Similar size and wattage needs to be legislated compatible formats. It works. Nice consistent flow unlike a pressure pump sprayer. Battery holds a good charge for now. No idea of longevity and replacement parts, but since the company never responded, I have concerns there.First, I went through a couple of other power sprayers before this one. And, I must say, I love this unit.PROS:Very easy to assembleExtremely powerfulLong battery lifeComfortable and the straps are excellent (Not sure why others say they are not)And even works great with dissolved powdersThe attachments are good, especially the brass one (which is adjustable)CONS:None so farRuns quiet. shuts off when pressure is reached in the tank. Battery lasts all day seems like.Con - Shoulder harness is sized for a small man. If your shoulders are broad it will be hard to get on and uncomfortable if you do.I use this product for weed killer application on weeds on my yard and for ground sterilizer on my driveway and it worked very well in both applications
