these are currently my favorite shoes. had them about a year, needed to break them in a little, and a little narrower than i thought they would be, but really happy with these, quality work, comfortable and i use them for tai chi. i ended up taking the trademark "N" off of these as i thought they looked gaudy on such a narrow shoe - if you do this then the outline of the holes where they're sewed on will be slightly visible (and some glue residue that can be cleaned off with warm water and washcloth), but with the black background not that noticeable. the other thing i noticed is that you can't use the toe of one shoe on the heel of the other shoe to take them off, this will begin to separate the leather wrap around the heel, but ultimately not a huge issue and reasonably priced imo.I love this model of new balance, 574. It is my favorite. This deep red color is also one of my favorites. I don't wear a color like this a lot, just once or twice a month.Well made shoe, this model has a hard plastic piece on the back of it where the heel meets the sole, called the encap. This helps the shoe stay together longer for extended use, the two pieces won't separate or come unglued very easily.Comfortable for day to day use, I don't know about running in them as I don't do it. I believe they are marketed as a fashion sneaker and I believe that's just what they are.Like the design, the material used. Unfortunately there are two defects spotted. There were glue stains on the vamp and heel tab was not properly sewn at the corner, both defects on the left shoe. Wanting to exchange but then there were no available size and same colour for exchange. I like it very much and do not think I am able to get it because it was a sold out in Singapore, and decide to live with the defects. :)The color is really cool and so is the fabric.This is why I bought those superb sneakers but the size is wrongly labeled.New Balance did bad on this!It is half a size too small and the toe box is smaller than the usual 574.Made in Vietnam like the other New Balance, the shoe laces are thin, they feel cheap, they should be changed.I really like this Backpack model but I have to return them and buy them again to get the right size, it's a big hassle.To leave on a positive note, the shipping was very fast, 3 days to Europe, excellent!I really like the shoes, but they are pretty skinny and took some breaking in before the felt like they weren't too tight. I had ordered one pair of New Balance online earlier in the year so I already knew to order up a size compared to shoes I usually wear. But again, the shoes themselves are great.Love these shoes. Just perfect if you wear thin socks. I guess follow other peoples recommendation to order half a size higher. I would've gotten the navy blue one but since it's out of production i opted to order the red. Already got a couple of compliments on the first day i wore these shoes.I've been wearing New Balance 574s for many years. I like them enough that I haven't seriously considered switching to anything else. This color is pretty nice, but possibly a bit darker than you'd expect. The "tan" accents are definitely not tan. They're like a burnt orange.Pretty happy with these as sneakers. Expected them to fit a little more comfortably and have more support but overall it's a good shoe and seems to be pretty well made. Priced a little higher than I would have liked but in the end they'll be just fine.Il venditore non è ancora riuscito a farmi sapere che fine ha fatto il mio pacco. Per il resto, consigliata! Il venditore è stato preciso e velocissimo! Consigliato anche lui!Hatte von diesem Modell(ML 574) in der Vergangenheit schon verschiedene Ausführungen. Hatte bis jetzt immer US 9.5, das ist mir jetzt fast zu klein. Kann nur jedem empfehlen mindestens eine halbe Nummer größer zu kaufen.Wieso man ein erfolgreiches Modell plötzlich kleiner machen muss, ist mir schleierhalt.Während ich früher viele Sneaker anderer Marken getragen habe war mit dem Kauf meiner ersten 574 klar, nie wieder was anderes. Bester Laufkomfort, die Dämpfung macht wirklich was her und die Qualität des gesamten Schuhs lässt auch nix zu wünschen übrig.Wer noch nie NB 574 getragen hat sollte es auf jeden Fall einmal testen.
